GB Recruitment is hiring an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new client growth across Food Production, Cleaning, and Warehouse & Logistics — three of the UK's busiest staffing sectors.

 

This is not a desk-bound recruitment role. We already have an experienced internal team handling candidate sourcing, compliance, and placement. Your job is to open doors and win contracts. Ours is to deliver on them.

 

Why this role is different

At GB Recruitment, we believe pay should follow performance. That's why this role is structured around a results-based compensation model:

  • Part-time base salary: from £15,000/year
  • Full-time base salary: from £25,000/year
  • Uncapped commission on every new contract you close
  • Recurring revenue share on workers placed under contracts you win
  • Realistic OTE: £35,000 – £50,000+ for committed performers
  • Salary progression linked directly to delivery, reviewed regularly

There is no ceiling. If you bring volume, you earn accordingly.

 

Sectors we want you to break into

  • Food Production & Manufacturing — fresh produce, packing, factory operatives
  • Cleaning Services — commercial, industrial, contract cleaning
  • Warehouse, Logistics & Distribution — pickers, packers, drivers, FLT

We have proven delivery in these sectors and current client references — your job is to bring more.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Prospecting and approaching potential client businesses across the UK
  • Pitching GB Recruitment's staffing solutions and closing new contracts
  • Building long-term relationships with HR managers, operations directors, and procurement leads
  • Attending trade shows, networking events, and on-site client meetings
  • Managing your own pipeline and reporting weekly activity to the Operational Manager
  • Handing over signed accounts to our internal recruitment team for fulfilment

Who you are

  • Proven B2B sales, BD, or account management experience
  • A confident communicator and natural closer
  • Self-driven, target-focused, comfortable working independently
  • Familiar with the UK recruitment or staffing industry (an advantage)
  • Holder of a valid UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and Microsoft Office

Bonus points if you have:

  • Existing contacts in food, cleaning, or logistics operations
  • Previous experience selling to industrial or warehouse clients
  • Understanding of temp, perm, and contract recruitment models
